I’m Max, a UKCP-registered counselling therapist trained in Transactional Analysis and living with Ménière’s disease since 2017. I understand how overwhelming sudden vertigo or changes in sight and hearing can be, and how hard it is to explain these experiences to others who may not fully grasp their distressing impact.
My therapeutic style is relational and interactive, offering a warm, collaborative space where you can feel genuinely seen and supported. I run weekly online one-to-one and group therapy sessions for 4–8 people, creating a safe environment to share, connect, and develop practical coping strategies.
One-to-one sessions are £75 for 50-minute sessions, and group therapy is £55 for 90-minute sessions. I am also offering a limited number of reduced-fee spaces for people on low income.
I also offer one-to-one therapy in English, French, and German.
Feel free to email me to organise a free 15-minute call to discuss further: max@maxvkoenig.com or visit the website: www.menieres-therapy.com

Mindfulness for Dizziness & Tinnitus
If you live with chronic dizziness or tinnitus, you’ll know how relentless and exhausting these symptoms can feel. Due to the hidden nature of your symptoms, you may find that others don’t understand you as much as you would like them to. Perhaps you’ve been told ‘its all in your head’ or “there’s nothing that can be done” — all of which can leave you feeling frustrated, misunderstood, anxious, or alone. This collection offers something different. Not a quick fix, but a way of using mindfulness to gently shift how you relate to your symptoms — so they feel less overwhelming, and there’s more space for steadiness, ease, and self-compassion. You can then begin to ‘live well’ with these symptoms.
The programme, specially designed by Debbie Cane, a healthcare professional and mindfulness teacher who has worked with people living with dizziness for many years. Her approach is about working with your symptoms, not against them. You don’t need previous experience with mindfulness to take part. Whether you’re brand new or already have a practice, you’ll find ideas and techniques you can adapt for yourself.
The collection includes dizziness and tinnitus adapted concepts to learn about, tailored meditations and suggestions for reflection is split into 6 sessions. Topics covered include:
- Tips for meditating with dizziness & tinnitus
- How to manage flare-ups and prevent worsening symptoms
- Grounding techniques for difficult moments
- Reducing the fear around challenging symptoms
- The importance of kindness towards ourselves
- Real life stories offering connection & hope
Visit the Breathworks website for more information and to book.
If you prefer one to one sessions using this approach, Debbie also gives online sessions for those with all types of chronic dizziness. These are tailored to your individual needs and consist of mindfulness techniques combined with vestibular rehabilitation. For more information please contact her via email: info@equilibrium10.com
Psychological Support for Vestibular Conditions
Living with Ménière’s disease or other vestibular conditions can feel frightening, unpredictable and isolating. Anxiety, low mood and loss of confidence often develop alongside physical symptoms, leaving many people managing not just the sensation of dizziness, but the emotional impact of uncertainty.
I’m Suzy Sleeper, I draw on my professional training in psychotherapy, counselling and hypnotherapy as well as my own personal experience of Ménière’s disease. I offer one-to-one psychological support (online or in person) for adults who are struggling with:
- Anticipatory anxiety and fear of attacks
- Avoidance of places or activities
- Loss of confidence
- Emotional adjustment to chronic symptoms
My approach is integrative and evidence-informed. I offer a safe space where you will feel heard and understood. Together we work to calm the nervous system, reduce fear, gently rebuild confidence and widen your world again. Therapy cannot change the inner ear but it can change how your mind and body respond, helping you feel steadier emotionally even when symptoms fluctuate.
If you would value support from someone who understands both the medical realities and the emotional impact of vestibular conditions, please get in touch.
